to have a film festival.

Throughout its history, Tomar has had three cinemas and an International Festival for Children and Youth. Today, it is reduced to a single screening venue, hosting sessions of Plano Extraordinário, those of the commercial exhibitor, and, since 2016, the editions of the Planos Film Fest.

The primary goal of Planos is to present, not only to the people of Tomar but also to national and international audiences, the most eclectic selection possible, without ever compromising the quality of its offerings. This goal is promoted not only through the screening of works in competition but also through the presentation of other films in special sessions.
