Withering Refuge

Withering Refuge reflects on the condition of different populations living in the Meheba Refugee Camp, Zambia, on the very outskirts of mining extraction zones. This essay film explores how spaces of refuge are dramatically withering away. To extract and process ore, while simultaneously extracting and processing humans and non-humans, is no mere metaphor.
